Temples were erected for gods!
They were treated sumptuously
and the priests too had their share
while the 'devotees' went hungry!
Even today people
don't dare to ask why!
That was how
they were taught,
and not to read and write!
Learning letters would
enable them to question
which neither the gods
nor their priests can digest!
Jesus said, "Know the truth
and truth will set you free."
Truth people will realize
by themselves once
they were given this
tool to open their
inner eyes.
